Born and brought up in the culturally rich city of Jammu, Somii was drawn to creativity early on. While she pursued engineering academically, her passion for design was never a side note. She began her journey as a fashion designer alongside her technical education, often finding herself equally at home amidst fabrics and sketches as she was with numbers and systems.

Life led her to Kuwait, where she spent almost 2 decades building a remarkable corporate career. As a Management Professional, she wore many hats—Engineer, Auditor, Business Development & PR strategist—and carved her space as a dynamic leader. But no matter how far she traveled professionally, her inner designer remained ever-present, quietly evolving with experience, exposure, and a deeper understanding of people, style, and self-expression.

Soul Buttons by Somii C. is the elegant return to that first love. It’s a label born from a long-standing desire to create clothing that tells stories—where every silhouette, stitch, and embellishment resonates with soulful intent and refined aesthetics. Drawing from her multicultural journey and deep-rooted Indian heritage, Somii curates designs that celebrate individuality, ease, and understated luxury.
